Wild Things

This month would have been Maurice Sendak's 85th birthday. He is a famous American illustrator and author of children's books. His most famous book 'Where the Wild Ones Are' was published in the 1960's. At the time some parents thought that the drawings of the monsters in the book were too scary for their children. It is one of my granddaughter's favourite books.

An exhibit of his work will be held at the Museum of American Illustration at the Society of Illustrators in New York City through August 17.

Here are my wild things for my blog post today. None of them are too scary.
