Experimenting with Line, Contour and Texture.

This spring and summer I have taken a lot of photos of flowers and plants in our garden. I have become quite intrigued by line, contour and texture and how I can get them to interplay in post processing.

In the image below 'Line, Texture, and Colour' I used a simple colour scheme to accentuate the abstract shapes that were formed by the lines. I also added more texture to create interest. Nature has such rhythmical  beauty.

In 'Etchings of Purple and Green', I found my eye wandering along the edges of this 'Elephant Ears" plant. I brought this out in my processing as well as the purple and green colours. This colour combo is getting to be one of my favourites.

What fascinates you in nature's plants?  Is it something visual or something that appeals to another of your senses. I'd be happy to hear from you. Jot your thoughts down in the comments section.
